๐Ÿช„ Wizard's tip

It looks too simple, but little ones will happily do this for half an hour. Use it to buy time while you cook dinner outside.

How to do it

  1. Fill a bucket with water.
  2. Hand out brushes and rollers.
  3. Paint anything that changes colour when wet.
  4. Watch it disappear in the sun and start again.

Younger kids: Chunky brushes and a small bucket they can carry. Show them how the colour changes when wet.

Older kids: Paint letters, numbers or their name and race the sun to finish before it dries.

โš  Safety Stay within arm's reach of under-5s around any water, even a bucket. Empty buckets and paddling pools straight after play.
