๐Ÿช„ Wizard's tip

Keep each scene under a minute and film in short takes. Kids stay focused, and the bloopers become the best bit of the premiere.

How to do it

  1. Watch an episode of the show for inspiration.
  2. Write a short storyline with a part for everyone, including behind-the-camera jobs.
  3. Make costumes, props and a title card.
  4. Film scene by scene (out of order is fine).
  5. Edit it together with a free app, then hold a premiere night.

Younger kids: Give them a simple role with one or two lines, or make them the official clapperboard and props person.

Older kids: They write the script, direct scenes, run the camera and edit it with a free app, adding titles, music and a blooper reel.

โš  Safety Keep the finished video within the family. Think twice before posting children's faces publicly. Use the show only as inspiration for a home movie; don't post or share copied clips or music.
