๐Ÿช„ Wizard's tip

Keep the clay in a sealed bag between sessions. It dries out fast in Perth heat.

How to do it

  1. Knead the clay until soft.
  2. Shape bodies from balls and snakes; join pieces with a dab of water.
  3. Add texture with a toothpick.
  4. Leave to dry for 24โ€“48 hours.
  5. Paint and display.

Younger kids: Roll balls and snakes into simple creatures; pinch pots are easy wins.

Older kids: Use tools for texture, build a themed set (a zoo or a dinosaur world) and paint fine details.
